Matt on Fremont

Matt on Fremont_0124, originally uploaded by Fotodog_1.

Went on a photo walk with the PhotoshopCafe crew down on Fremont Street in Las Vegas during Photoshop World.

This is my fgood riend, Matt Keefe. One of the most impressive developers I've ever met. And a great person to hang out with.

To get this shot, I first metered the neon sign in the background using ISO/Sensitiviy 320. I set the camera to manual mode and set the meter accordingly.

I set my Nikon D80 built-in flash to Commandor Mode. Built in Flash was set to TTL -1.7. My SB800 was set to TTL - 0.3. My good friend Phil Neal (one of the most amazing Illustrator guys I've ever met) was kind enough to hold my flash off camera left about 12 feed from Matt.

I was very pleased with the ieffect, especially since I normally use two SB800s, I was a little concerned the built-in wouldn't have enough power. but it worked perfectly.

Looking forward to doing more in this style. I"d be interested in seeing your setups as well.

Cheers,
~fotodog
